I've seen an older toddler temporarily revert back to infant behavior after her parent's divorced. Example of that would be that she was potty trained but started soiling her pants daily and once brought a bottle to school. I've also seen a teacher speak very harshly to a child. That caused the child to become even more upset.

I have seen children acting out such as throwing toys, yelling and interrupting when others are talking due to their parents fighting at home.

I have seen kids start to feel disconnected when they feel left out and when they don't understand a certain situation that is happening.

Some of the things that I have seen that caused a child to feel disconnected is the loss of a family member, children feeling left out, a child being sick or feeling very tired, a child that joined the facility for the first time and others.

Definitely being the new student in class has been the most disconnected I've noticed a child feel and also when there is not enough room to play at a puzzle or toy.

I have a child who's father frequently leaves for long periods of time for work and it usually results in bad and emotional behavior.

Some of the reasons I have seen kids start to feel disconnected are: when they feel left out, when they don't understand a situation, changes in their home life, a change in routine.
