A safe indoor environment has: - furniture arranged to prevent running the classroom - furniture that is secured to the wall - toys that are not a choking hazard - no nails, screws, etc. that are exposed to children - nut-free zone - clean/well-kept classrooms
A safe outdoor environment has: - a secure and safe play structure for children - follows playground regulations to have plenty of room for all children to play - toys that are safe and appropriate for outdoor use for children - no dangerous substances that are exposed to children outside, such as sod mesh, broken wire fencing, any tools
