When creating a lesson plan for young children, one should take into consideration both the developmental progress of the children (to ensure that the activities are developmentally appropriate), the specific needs of each child (to prevent the discomfort of individual children with any particular activity), and how each activity will transition into the next (considering what state the children might be in after an exercise – energetic, tired, hungry, etc.).
