I would personally prefer the check list because it has steps in it and spots to put explanation if needed.

I would probably prefer a checklist to cover so much stuff to observe although a video is so helpful in comparing previous milestone to present. Its real and now and you can also see face expressions and there face if difficulty or annoyed.

Out of the three different ways to gather information, I would prefer the child skills checklist. I do use just a anecdotal observation documentation each day but not on each individual child. The child skill checklist would be good to be able gather information about each child in the day care and then share that information with parents quarterly.
