Making a template of the day-to-day necessities for the children is the first step in writing out a lesson plan. After you take into account their nap, snack, lunch, and outside play schedule you can plan the in-between. It can be helpful to have a theme of the week, so depending on the theme you can plan your whole lesson plan for the week out in advance by choosing books with certain themes and talking asking the children what they think the message of the book is. Theme related worksheets, topics, and group activities can also be planned for as well as curriculum depending on the age group. Lastly, it is always important to take into consideration the varying levels of development, intellect, and language within the group to better accommodate each child.
