The child skills checklist is the only one on Handout 5 that I am familiar with and I think it is a thorough and effective tool at tracking progress. It is a tool that allows caregivers a goal to work toward if there happens to be space on the checklist where a child isn't performing regular activity of something. I like that the child skills check list is organized into categories. I also believe this tool should be used monthly, maybe even twice a month because children can learn and grow so fast.
