Some of the safety standards are:
-Make sure any caret that does not extend all the way to a wall is a tripping hazard. Make sure all carpet is free of rips, holes or exposed seams. Secure edges in walking area to floor with plastic carpet strip or cover with rubber mat.
-IN an infant room you should have a no shoe policy and provide covers for shoes.
-Use the approved bleach solution for sanitizing toys, anywhere food is eaten or prepared, changing tables, and crib mattresses.

Some of the safety standard requirements are Fire and emergency preparedness which include a fire evacuation plan, fire and disaster training for staff and volunteers, holding monthly emergency drills, having smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, having a fire extinguisher and training. Also, have a procedure for handling contagious diseases. Use Pierce County health regulations when preparing food. These safety requirements, when followed, can keep a child safe from harm and preserve their wellbeing.

When I read the WAC about sleeping for infants I was shocked. The regulations that no allow any blankets, crib bumper, toys and any other baby necessities inside baby crib. It can lead that the infant stop breathing while sleeping. And also sleeping infants in their tummy is not allow and need to be open space in the crib while the baby is sleeping in their back. I've done a lot of wrong things when my daughter was born, thank goodness she's 10 years old now. Learn a lot about babies safety.

Some of the safety standards required by licensing regulation are: stabilizing heavy shelving at several levels and using tamper-resistant outlets in all areas that are accessible to children preschool-age or younger. These directly impact children’s safety as shelves falling on a child can injure and impact the child’s well being. Furthermore, not taking appropriate action regarding outlets can severely injure and harm a child.

Cleaning and sanitizing equipment and toys - It's important that these are cleaned everyday and maybe through-out the day because they carry the most germs, used and handled by all staff.

Some of the safety standards required by licensing regulations: Maintain the building, equipment and premises in a safe manner that protects the children from injury hazards. Maintain on the premises adequate first aid supplies conforming to your center’s first aid policies and procedures. At all times, at least one staff member per group of children must have current first aid and age appropriate CPR training. Implement a method to monitor all entrance and exit doors to prevent children from exiting the buildings unsupervised. Have extra clothing available for the children who wet or soil their clothes. Conduct monthly emergency drills. Sanitize with appropriately concentrated leach solution.
