Child care providers share responsibility with the parents in feeding the child during the child’s development, and they are both responsible for the development of healthy eating habits. There are is clear responsibility between the caregiver and child when it comes to feeding. The caregiver is responsible for serving different nutritious foods, deciding when to offer food as part of daily care, and setting an example of healthy eating habits by eating a variety of foods with the children. And the child is responsible for only two things choosing which foods they want to eat from what is offered and deciding how much food they want to eat.
