We can help by recognizing that every family knows their own child and knows exactly what he or she needs.

I can support families in this role by giving positive and negative feedback to the parents of how the child is behaving. This helps everyone by communicating well whats going on day by day.

How can childcare providers support families in this role?
Childcare providers can give guidance to children's parent by giving them feedback on what they have experience with their child while in their care and giving them reading materials and information to ensure success of child's growth physically and developmentally. Also it is important that you establish a relationship with parent from the beginning assuring the parent/guardian the success you both want for the child and opeing up a window of input while in your care to establish respect, trust and understanding.

We as providers can support families in this role by recognizing that families are the experts on their child. The best care comes when families are treated with respect and acknowledged as their child's most important teacher.

we can follow instructions that the parents tell us such as a cup of water at lunch or certain disciplinary actions for bad behavior to continue to develop the parents teaching even when the parent is not present.

Providers can help the parents by respecting their wishes and joining in their concern. It is important to respect all aspects of their culture and believes. By providing the parents with feedback on the development of the child and by sharing concerns on behavior we can make this relationship work better.

Educators can support families by sharing their extensive knowledge of childcare (especially with new families of young children). We can give feedback on what we view to be working in the classroom and how we approach certain problems when they arrive. We can also give advice on what to expect in different ages and stages of growing up so that there are no negative surprises.

Teachers can help families by sharing ideas for learning and development with them, as well as provide insights into the child's behavior and health as observed at school.
