I chose the scenario of the preschooler boys playing dress up and the parents being upset because they don't want them being teased. 1. yes this behavior is expected and appropriate 2. I would explain that at this age dress up and interactive play with class mates is huge for their development and if they weren't interested in interacting or imagining or dressing up then id be worried about their development, not many kids at this age tease just cause boys dress up from my experience they all play together and don't care about their genders. its important for their development and we don't want to restrict their imagination. 3. they act this way because at they age they all want to do what one another is doing, they sort of follow each other, and they want to have fun with their friends. 4. I would suggest monitoring the play time and making sure no teasing is happening, and if it is make sure those children know its not okay or they'll have consequences, everyone is equal and assure the parents it will be monitored well and no teasing will happen
