By doing a health check when the child arrives, and also throughout the day, we can catch a child's illness as soon as possible and isolate them to keep them from spreading the illness to any more children. By isolating the child, they can get the rest they need while waiting for a parent to retrieve them, and we can limit the illness exposure to the other children. Also, washing hands and cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, as well as coughing/blowing and wiping noses into tissues instead of hands or clothes helps limit the spread of germs and illnesses.
