Infants need colorful toys of various textures (not sharp) and sizes to practice fine motor skills. They need tummy time and one-on-one time listening to you talk to them so they can develop language. They need to be in a safe space with no sharp corners. Toddlers need low, sturdy furniture that they can push and pull or cruise on to help them learn to walk. They also need toys to be well organized in predictable places on low shelves so they can develop independence and self-initiate play.
