1. Something that i believe influences me and my point of view greatly is the fact that i am first generation american. It has made me very hyper aware of diversity issues and discrimination that i see around me. 2. A lot of times when a persons point of view differs from another they respond in anger because they believe they are being attacked personally. When people have open discussions where everybody's point of view is valid and respected, then are people able to really reflect on their opinions instead of get angry and aggressively defend their positions.

This is true that is why dialogue between caregivers and parents works best when all concerned use reflective thinking. When there is an issue involving the child or a parent at the care center and there is a misunderstanding caregivers and parents should be encouraged to give active, persistent, and careful consideration to any disagreement and yes where everybody's point of view is valid and respected.
