Why is confidentiality important? What could be possible outcomes for not maintaining confidentiality?
Maintaining confidentiality is important because our observations could lead to a medical diagnosis if caregivers follow up with center recommendations, and because our observations are for our classroom use only. Other families in our center have no need to know the official observations we've made, and we respect the privacy of all our families. If we didn't maintain confidentiality, the privacy of our families would be violated.
