A child's diversity will dictate the way they learn best, and as an instructor you need to be able to accommodate that child's differences in learning so they can grow within your program. For example, children of different temperaments will have different needs in the classroom. A timid child may be too shy to jump into a group activity and may need to be slowly eased in with the help of an instructor. Diversity like being raised at home by grandparents instead of parents will effect the child's development in that they will be learning first from someone with more life experience, and possibly old fashioned ideals and views. Being exposed to diversity in the classroom helps children develop with a well-rounded view of the world and fosters understanding of social, economic, religious, etc. differences in others.
