Observation and frequent interaction is the best way to get to know the children and their families. It is important for us caregivers to find one on one time with each child in our classroom. We need to find time to talk to each child about their interests, observe their likes and dislikes, ask them about their families. Know their siblings names. We need to also interact with the parents as often as we can during pick up/ drop off or via e-mail. We can create a comfortable environment for parents to let us know how we can help their child develop in the classroom.
