Some of the challenges of providing nutritious snacks and meals for children, is getting them to eat the nutritious foods at meal or snack times. Nutrition is important for everyone especially children, because food gives their bodies the nutrients their bodies need to grow and work properly. Foods are made up of 6 different sorts of nutrients, each with a role in the body; Protein builds muscles and gives their bodies a strong immune system; Carbohydrates like vegetables, fruits, grains gives them energy; Fat gives them extra energy; Vitamins and Minerals regulate their body processes and also make up their bodies tissues and Water gives cells shape and acts as a medium where body processes can occur. So, getting and eating nutritious snacks and meals means kids get the important nutrients for brain power and to stay healthy.

i would say that every child is different and eats differently maybe doesn't like left overs or trying new thing's because the texture. that's possibly one of the challenges, so in that case tell the parent's to a variety of choices so your child can try different thing's. Also eat meals and snacks together as a family.
