Ours are fairly simple and fairly open. In fact, we don't formally wrote much down. We prohibit corporal punishment in any way and emphasize the importance of offering respect to children to gain their respect in return. Everything else is "common sense." Running indoors is risky, but we have plenty of space outside. We feel strongly that the basis of much is respect, whether student to student, student to teacher, or teacher to student. Once you have that, you have "the world."
