One of the primary ways young children learn is through mirroring those around them. From the day they're born, a child's family surrounds them and makes up their world until they are old enough to begin to gain independence. As such, for the beginning of their life a child's family is their primary if not only source of mirroring behavior. This influence continues even as the child grows and shapes their view of the world.
