Aside from clear physical symptoms, watching how a child behaves is another good indicator. Also, becoming trained in seeing the warning signs is a wise move.

Having taken the time to know each child and knowing the change and/or sudden change in their attitudes and/or demeanor, the physical change in their body (bruises), and being trained to see the warning signs.
