2.3. How can you take the lead in creating positive provider-family relationships?
A provider can a lead in a relationship between a provider and family by keeping a family consistently informed about child's development and participation though out the day/week. That way when the parent is aware of what is happening, there are no surprises; when the questions arise from the families' side, the provider can patiently explain the reasoning behind certain doings, weather its policies or a approach in the education of the child.

The provider reaches out to the parents by not only letting them know what their child had done wrong that day but also when the child does well, praise the child in front of the parent(s), ask how their day has gone, wish them a good day/weekend, and show them sincere kindness.

Parent like to know what their children are engaged in throughout the day. Keeping an open dialog helps eases their mind.
