Discussion 3.2: Writing effective weekly schedules ...
How do you write a lesson plan for young children? Outline your thought process and approach.
* In order to write a lesson plan, you have to analyze how old the children are int he group, what are their approximate interests. You can start with one topic, and if the children are very excited about it, and want to continue speaking of it, its ok to continue that topic, as long as children are learning new things and are engaged and interested. Make sure there is a routine to it, it helps children have a sense of security and belonging.

In order to write an effective weekly/monthly lesson plans you first need to have observed the kids in a large group, small group and individually . Next you need to take time to reflect on what you have observed about the kids and what it may mean. This will help you to plan appropriate activities and be able to support the kids through conversation, materials and props, which is known as "plan to keep the learning going".
