Discussion 2:3: Evaluate current observation tools.
The tools in observation provide with variety of way to learn about their development, such as:
Anecdotal-Brief narrative account usually written after the even describing an incident of child's behavior that is important to the observer.
Check-List- Provider can use checklist to keep track of when child reaches certain developmental milestones.
Running Record-narrative account written by an observer detailing everything that occurs within certain period of time.
Tally Event- A list that helps you know how often something is happening during the day or with particular child.
Photos & Videotaping- Using media to capture children's skills and strength.
