Confidentiality is important because it is the foundation of the trust necessary for an effective teacher parent relationship. It also helps to avoid any negative effects against the child such as bullying. It is one of the cornerstones of and effective childcare program. If confidentiality is not maintained it can result in not only termination but lawsuits against you and possibly the school as well.

Confidentiality Establishes trust with the parents that their information or the child's information is not leaked Also fostering relationships with staff, children, and families. When managing sensitive information, there is an ethical and legal responsibility to protect the privacy of individuals and families.

confidentiality is very important because you can build a great respective relationship with the parent/guardians and work together more better to do you job as a caregiver to the child also you just never know how sensitive the situations at home can be so that can be another reason to have that confidentiality between parents/guardians
