For the first task I chose "SCRIPTED STORIES FOR SOCIAL SITUATIONS– TIP SHEET" from Vanderbilt. I like the story approach to learning for example, when and where is the best time and place to run, inside or outside? Shoes on or off? Fast or carefully?

For the second task I chose the whining topic from Hand in Hand Parenting. I appreciated the tip that whining is a cry for help from a child feeling disconnected and emotions are soon to follow. The answer is to stay close by and let the emotions come out that are behind the whining. The child should relax in a few minutes after he or she feels reconnected by the mere presence of a caring caregiver during an emotional rough spot.

csefel - Solution kit - Positive reinforcements in imagery I believe is incredibly healthy especially when you have multi aged children, it allows all of the children to model the behavior even if on different levels.

First source i chose: "Make the Most of Playtime" because it can be beneficial to me as i make my lesson plans and activities. The second source i chose "What the cure for whining?" This is because at times the kids are so used to whining at home that they are unbearable at the care facility. It is nice to know different ways to move the child's energy and efforts.

On the CSEFEL site, I like the idea of using "Scripted Stories for Social Situations." Personally, I think this approach not only helps promote reading and literacy but also models positive behavior through examples.
On the Hand in Hand Parenting site, I chose "What's the cure for Whining." I think this is one of the biggest problems that caregivers provide and it is helpful to know another way to respond.
