1. 50 years of living on three continents speaking three languages. 2. Buddhism. 3. Nature. 4. Study to understand the mechanisms of racism and discrimination. 5. Art. 6. Music. 7. Literature.
Views can change, yes. But, it requires a real paradigm shift in understanding. In my case, my views are so radically different than almost anyone around me that I've grown exhausted trying to explain them because of the subsequent defense I have to offer after the explanation that I have grown quite reclusive. For me, it is quite easy to see through the eyes of others, and to understand their views. I understand *why* people don't understand or disagree with my views, but as I age have grown to where I'm less inclined to try to explain my views. I have plenty of lifetimes to get there (as an example of one that tends to make people's minds go "clunk." :-).
My perspectives have changed radically, especially over the past 10-15 years. A study of my own mind and of the nature of reality has really caused some almost seismic shifts in my thinking.

I have tried plenty of times to get my reasons understood or show them that my theory, in the little of time I've learned from my own experience. Although everyone has their own views and outputs, So i understand as a person why other's may not agree with my views or vice versa.
With that Knowledge of perspective thing's have slowly changed over a few years in child care so that anyone's mind can relate or disagree.
