Do you think this behavior or expectation is age appropriate? Yes because Jamal is attatched to his mother .
How could you explain this to the parents/co- workers/etc.?
Seperation anxiety is normal for his age, he's able to tell the differences in faces/ strangers vs family which is a milestone.
Why might the child(ren) act this way?
Jamal is acting this way because he is now able to tell the difference between him family and strangers. he's used to being with his family more than a daycare.
What would you suggest and is there anything you can do to prevent this situation/problem from happening again? Reassure the parents that this is a normal phase kids go through and within time he will adapt.
