Setting up the classroom or facility with bright colors and learning activities is always a good sign when families come in to check out the place. Setting up specific dates for the families to come in and see what the children have accomplished also helps put the families mind at ease.putting the work and art the children have created on the wall for everone to see. Creating the bond with each child and family is ideal so that is why these "Open House" events are important.

I would say that greeting the parent or parents and child as they enter the classroom. put up learning activities such as a painting station or a book area. always have bright and uplifting colors in the room; gives parents a feel what their child is learning in the classroom. i would agree that having an open house with children showing the work they made or showing parents what kind of work they have learned or is learning in the classroom. even creating a space for the children to see their work so their feeling inspired by the work they have done, gives them a positive influence in take.

i would have the children decorate their area/cubby/name tag with whatever they feel describes them. it can be religious, hobbies, or even pictures of their family. i would want their area to be their little piece of home, where they feel safe, brave, confident and independent.

Communication is an essential element of family friendly care and extremely important to parents. Talking with administrators, staff, and other parents is the key to building relationships in centers. Staff should take the time to greet families at drop off in the morning and spend a few minutes chat at evening pickups. Parents and staff should share information about meaningful daily events related to the child, for infants and toddlers and older children there should be written communication to parents about the child’s daily activities, and parents should have more than one way to communicate with the center like phone calls and emails.
