Infants are a unique age group, discovering and trying everything for the first time. As such, they have a great deal of excitement about daily activities. Because they have not developed the language necessary to communicate using words, they use cries and other noises to communicate their emotions and needs. A great deal of their time is spent learning to use and develop all their muscles. Practicing holding up their heads, arms, legs and other exercises are common activities. They also enjoy touching new things and looking at everything they encounter as they are still learning to recognize people and things.
