The number one thing yet again is the communication when you communicate it helps to keep everyone up to date. Also just greeting parents and children when they come in the room. Keeping children's art up on display, letting the children use there imagination and also encourage them to show about there families and talk about it. Most of this will help other teachers keep everyone feel welcome and help the parents see what their children are doing and keeping their culture/diversity in mind.

I strongly agree that communication is very important but you also have to make sure that your classroom is a place where the kids, as well as the parents, feel that they are always welcomed, by having the kids projects displayed throughout the room with the kids name visible to the parents as well as the kids themselves. Taking small amount of time to greet the parents as they drop off their child, letting them know briefly what the plans are for today and then once again take time when the parents pick up their child and letting them know briefly how their child's day went. If parents are running late and they have no time, let them know that they can always look at the bulletin board for any information of what has been going on and/or leaving any comments for the teacher or child. Make sure to check the bulletin board and it is always kept up to date.
