This is a very good question, there many things that help us get to know the children we teach and spend our days with. We learn things about them by listening and speaking with them and just getting to know more about them. Some kids you wouldn't realize certain things about them until you get tot talk with them and watch the things they do. You get to know so much. Some children can be difficult to understand at first, they're are some you really have to be around and listen watch and talk to the other teachers to understand and see what helps when they have rough days. Some things that help one child isn't the same for others this is why diversity is a big thing to learn. When you have one child that has a rough day you can't cave and give them special treatment because then the other children think that they need those things as well. Every child is different and you really do need to learn about each one and get to know them all individually, ask them questions and answer their questions to build relationships with them.
