WAC 170-295-0070 goes into detail what kind of personal characteristics one should possess in order to succeed in the early learning field, but to add to that, you should be willing to always learn and grow from all the interactions you have with parents, children, and colleagues. Keep in mind that this field make take a lot more effort than expected. Some days will be stressful, but other days, you may see how rewarding it truly is. As a professional, you may need to persevere through tough times, and reach out to your team mates - the families, your colleagues - for help, but you know it's for the betterment of the children in your care. Always strive to make positive connections with children, families, and your colleagues.
