You can develop strong relationships with the parents by greeting them when they come in to pick up the child. talking to them about the childs day as well so they know what is going on that way they feel comfortable knowing what they'er child has been doing and knowing the care that the child is getting. Yes diversity plays a big part that. Helps you understand the child more so. For example some cultures eat with their hands. Therefor when you have lunch you will come to understand why that child is using their hands instead of a fork.

Positive relationships between parents and providers are important as families make progress toward goals to improve health and safety and enhanced leadership skills. Strong care provider and parent can provide a safe place where families can explore their hopes, share their challenges. Parents help care providers enhance their children’s learning and healthy development, and when the focus is on family strengths and view parents as partners, it can work more effectively to support parent child relationships and other outcomes for families and children.
