You must make sure it's clear with the families that you are obligated to report signs of abuse or neglect. If you do not, you could be charged with gross negligence or misconduct. If you do notice signs of maltreatment, report it to CPS within 48 hours. You must give your name when reporting but you do not need to inform the parents that you made a report to CPS. If any additional injuries come up, each one must be called in to CPS as well.
