I would also prefer the checklist because it also gives me the opportunity to write down the evidence that i actually see about certain skills that should be achieved or worked on.

But in addition to the benefits, it could also be a hinderance because it doesn't necessarily show me what the readiness for school tasks are - it's more focused on individual, self contained development rather than a goal for school readiness.

I like the progress reports that would be done after a period of time has passed kind of like a report card. A daily report I don't think shows much and I have found that most parents don't even read them when we do them daily. I think that a daily report would be more beneficially and more likely for the parent to read if they were only done on days that the child displayed behaviors that are not typical for that child.

I would prefer from three observation tools the Teaching Strategies Gold, because the teacher can understand how their observation relate to important objectives for development and learning and use that understanding to scaffold each child's learning if child making progress in the certain age.
