I recommend the pdf reading on how to decide and find outside help for off-tract behavior. Link: csefel.vanderbilt.edu/documents/dmg_seek_outside_help.pdfIt is sometimes difficult to both process these behaviors as an educator and childcare facility worker and work positively towards improvement. This guideline is a resource that helps one decide both when it is appropriate to seek help and how to find the correct help for the individual student's needs. From the Hand in Hand Parenting website I recommend "My Child says "I hate you." : www.handinhandparenting.org/2016/11/my-child-says-i-hate-you/. As a childcare worker and educator, this is a phrase I have heard from children during a sit down talk when they feel uncomfortable with their consequences for actions they take. The article gives solid advice about how to reassure them that their feelings are valid; however, that those words can hurt someone's feelings ((especially since the individual correcting their behavior cares for them.))
