Licensing regulations require that childcare facilities be regularly and routinely sanitized to prevent the spread of germs. For the same reason, caretakers must regularly wash their hands and have the children do the same. The environment must be free of potential choking hazards, and anything that could cause children to trip or anything that hangs from the ceiling must be kept in a place where the children cannot reach them.
