The health and safety policies are all clear to me but they are also very in-depth. If I were going to open a center at my home, I would definitely need to fully read them and make certain that I understand each and every one of the policies so my center would be a safe place for children to learn, grow and play.

Care givers should make sure their space is child safe, and there has to be safety policies in place, whether it’s in a child care center or a family child care home, no matter where it is child care facilities have to be safe for children. Dangerous chemicals and medicines must be stored out of their reach, electrical outlets should be child safe, dangerous or breakable objects should be stored up high, and anything that might be a dangerous to children needs to be fixed, locked up, or discarded.
