understanding the way a child develops or what her strongest or weakest points are help a caregiver be able to plan a curriculum based on the needs and wants of a child to further their growth and experiences.

When a teacher/caregiver has taken the appropriate steps to observe the child, they should come out of it with a plan of action that will compliment the way they are learning and help to work on the areas where it will continue to grow there brain. There development is so individually structured that only by observing can they adjust the teaching curriculum to the needs of the child. Being multi function oriented can only be even greater in order to be used to help more than one child, as in a childcare.

As you observe a child and see their current strengths and areas that need growth. You can also observe how they are reacting and their learning styles. With this information you came come up with a curriculum that directly relates to that child.
