Some of the things that I have seen that caused a child to feel disconnected is the loss of a family member, children feeling left out, a child being sick or feeling very tired, a child that joined the facility for the first time and others.

Things that I have witnessed that make a child feel disconnected is when they constantly have to compete to get an adults attention, when they feel left out from peer play, or when they are new to the facility.

A child can feel disconnected when they are left out of a game or activity, when they are afraid of something around them or they don't feel heard.
