Professionalism to me is going above and beyond the call of duty. Seeking to provide the best care and always learning new ideas and having the desire to excel in our duties.

To me, being a professional means conducting yourself in a professional and appropriate manner as according to the principles guiding the job. Therefore, for childcare, being a professional means comprehending the WACs and applying them as well as continuing education to provide the best childcare possible.

To me being a professional means that I am constantly seeking to better my knowledge and understanding of how best to provide care for the children in my classroom. I strive to have a positive attitude and to communicate respectfully with families and other staff members. I hope that my actions as a teacher reflect the mission statement of my center.
