id show the parents the procedures for earthquakes and fires that we hand wash before and after everything that not only the caregivers do but also the kids too even the babies in the infant room how a staff member does a 3 step procedure on say a spot of spit up on the floor. to me as a staff member i found it fascinating just how safe we are at my center about everything to keep ourselves and the kids safe.

Three things that i would highlight to the perspective parents are: Security on the building; coded access, locks, emergency exits, cameras. Food preparation and storage areas. (snack areas) Bathroom to see how clean they are and where there will be diaper changing and procedures.

I would show the parents emergency plans, regulations on sick children/staff, all of the stuff we require of the teachers (background, certifications on safety, etc.), and any specific plans for rooms (bottle sanitation for infants).
