I've been at this for a while, so I've seen some strange things. However, we usually see fevers and flu, during the season. We had a rash of pink eye a few years ago, and were operating a school in Taiwan during the SARS outbreak, so have always had good, quick-reading thermometers around as a result. Our staff knows the children well, and if they seem lethargic or "odd," they feel the forehead. If it is warm, out comes the thermometer.
