Since the mission statement is like the "mantra" of your center, it should always be connected back to your practices. Just like for any other business with a mission statement, you should be constantly referring to it and making sure that you really carry it out. Parents should see it in a written statement on a brochure first, maybe penned by the director, and then the staff should be reinforcing that by frequently, if not daily, talking about concrete examples that parents can relate to.

The mission statement should be part of the parent handbook given to each parent when they fill out their packet to have their child join our center. It should also be displayed at the front office window so it's easily seen by everyone at any time
