Being a professional, to me, is maintaining the quality of work ethic that I know I possess in my field of teaching. It means developing my skills over time and striving forward to be the best person in the work place that I can be.

Being a professional to me is doing the right thing to your best ability at all times and putting aside personal matters while at work. Maintaining a good attitude and work ethic are positively contagious, while worry and gossip are negatively contagious to the workplace; our conduct, morals and aims brand us so to speak and we have control over our brand via our actions, education and willingness to be flexible to a changing environment.

Personally, I believe being professional means to be knowledgeable and experienced in your daily work as well as emotionally stable when it comes to composure, maturity, daily choices and interactions.
