have seen teachers make really good eye contact and they keep calm while talking to the kids, they have connected with the kids well and the kids feel very comfortable with that teacher

In connecting with children through eye contact, you might need to get down to their level or sit down with them, when communicating with children it shows them what they should do. Not only is it good manners, it helps to listen to each other. Saying a child’s name when communication with until you get their eye contact, is important especially before giving them directions. It is important that they give you their attention, and you should model the same behavior for them.
