When you try to build connection with others, you engage well in the conversation. Listen to what they are trying to say and ask their favorite things to do during free time. Ask what their favorite place to visit. And genuinely share things about you too.

When people want to make connections they show interest in another's life by asking questions and listening to the answer. Making eye contact and body language is very important.

When people want to make connections. ...How do they act? How do they talk? How do they listen? In what ways is this culturally embedded?
people act friendly and more open when wanting to make connections with others, they actively listen and smile and shake hands or hug. There are certain actions that other cultures show while making connection like nodding your head or not looking in eyes as a sign of respect

When people want to make a connection, they are active listeners and respond with kindness and thoughtfulness. We also maintain eye contact and follow the rules accepted by our culture. These interactions may be embedded by family members who practice good listening skills as well as cultural things.
