3.3. What makes a safe indoor environment for young children? A safe outdoor environment for young children?
Indoor: -For meals and snacks what makes it safe is checking for recalled food items, expired food, and for mouthy toddlers double check and make sure all materials are not toxic. -Making sure indoor plants aren't toxic -Can the provider see all children at all times -Making sure all soft surfaces (couches, pillows, etc) are able to be cleaned -Children have materials safe for their ages
Outdoor: -Making sure spaces are separated for different kinds of play -Fall zones -protective surfaces -Fencing

Toys must not fit through a choke tube, they must be clean and intact, outside there must not be anything sharp or rusted.
