A challenge that I face when working with students and their parents is being able to make sure i communicate in a way that won't sound assumptive and also when parents assume that you just don't like their child and that is the reason I am making a call home about their areas of growth.

Sometimes it is hard to make the parents happy because if they see their child sad or sick when they pick them up, they think that you left them like that or that you don't care. Really it is that you have other kids in the daycare to care for too and you care about all of them.

The most challenging is understanding background and situations without becoming nosey.
The best part is meeting new people and watching different things work for different people.

One of the most challenging parts of working with families is the lack of communication on both ends, and making sure that each families needs are met and they feel we are listening to their concerns.

one of the most difficult parts about withing with families is having open and HONEST communication. no family is perfect, and we understand that. but there are times when parents are embarrassed or just simply don't want to share their parenting methods with their child care providers. one of the best parts, is that when you communicate efficiently you are able to better understand and appreciate both the family and their child better.
