I admire when I see someone connect with children by being patient and understanding, warm, friendly and respectful, getting down on the child's level, making eye contact and actively listening.

its important to keep the child interested and be in tune with how they are reacting to set play areas such as their enjoyment and persistence. Keeping the child's emotional state in high spirits by encouragement rather then discipline.

I have a coworker that I greatly admire because of her ability to connect with children. She is always very warm and patient and listens to them respectfully. She allows them to express their feelings with words so that they feel appreciated and respected.

I appreciate when my coworkers take the time to listen, participate and respect the children. By acknowledging that some children may be having an off day and by getting to know them better everyday we can grow in patience, care and love.

I love it when people get down on there knees so that they are at the same level as the child. I love it when people genuinely take the time to listen to kids even if its the 100th time they have told you about their cat.

I appreciate when a coworker knows how to give her full attention and making the child comfortable enough to talk. She is very warm and happy and this makes the child be happy with her.
